The Observer's Book of British Geology (Observer's Pocket Book series)

Revised edition, first thus.  266pp, with 12 pages of colour illustrations and 170 in black and white.  Green cloth-covered boards with black lettering front and spine.  16mo.  Cloth is a little tired, slightly faded over spine and especially at spine ends and on extreme upper edge.  Previous owner's name neatly inked on the front paste down and a few minor signs of handling internally else neat, clean and tight.  In its original illustrated dust wrapper, worn and rubbed at edges, scuffed at spine tips with short closed tear at head of spine, Observer's Pocket books is a series of pocket-sized books published by Frederick Warne and covering topics such as hobbies, art, nature and history.  The first in the series - British Birds - was published in 1937.  The 99th title, the Observer's Book of Observer's Books was released in 1999 (by Peregrine Books) in a matching format.  The series was rounded to 100 with the publication of Wayside and Woodland in 2003.
