196pp, with illustrated frontispiece and numerous coloured illustrations in text.  Green cloth-covered boards with decoration on upper panel, gilt titles on the spine.  Illustrated endpapers.  Upper text block edge sprayed red. 4to.  Cloth is tired and brushed, gently rounded at corners and spine ends.   Unsprayed text block edges a little dull.  Internally a hint of browning in page margins and a few minor signs of handling else neat and clean. Front pane a little wobbly. A once handsome, now a faded glory, of Japanese fairy stories and folk tales accompanied by striking Japanese coloured illustrations.
