The Works of Laurence Sterne, MA, in Seven Voumes (Volumes 2 to 7)

Six volumes from Thomas Armitage's 1779 seven volume edition of the works of Laurence Sterne (includes volumes 2 to 7; volume one is absent). Uniformly bound in speckled calf leather with gilt decorations and lettering to spine, five raised bands, with red leather title labels and black leather volume labels on spines. Gilt dentelles. Top edges gilt. Engraved frontispieces, with uniform title pages. 12mos. Boards a little rubbed all round, with some corners and spine tips lightly scuffed. Some marginal tanning and minor marks on endpapers, else neat, bright and fresh internally, barring occasional mild spotting. Strong binding throughout the set.
